The
Autumn Walk September
2017
On Sunday 24th September our autumn
walk wandered around the lower reaches of Portsmouth Harbour in Fareham
Hampshire. We met at the very dog
friendly Dovecote Eatery, Home Farm, Cams Estate, for a quick lunch before
setting off.
We were enjoying a stroll through the
autumn woods when we realised one of the dogs was missing, so had an impromptu
rest while a search party scooted off to find the absconder-luckily she was
clever enough to go back and wait by her car so all was well.
Setting off again we came out onto the
foreshore where the dogs had a nice cool down in the water, and then across the
playing field to see the sights of Portsmouth harbour including the new
aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.
Back at the café we said our goodbyes
to old and new friends, with tired (slightly smelly) dogs settling down for a
nap on the way home, all very grateful to George for a lovely walk, and even
managing to book good weather and high tide!
